Fun storytime but I did it six time this week, so I got sick of most of the books. We have a large rain stick made out of a poster sized mailing tube which each kid got to turn as we sang Rain, Rain, Go Away, with their name which was the best part. IF you don’t know yet it, Jim Gill’s Leaky Umbrella song is a great movement song for all ages….I had one year olds to eight year olds lovin it….oh! To get Barney’s If All the Raindrops, I used one of those burn a mp3 from a youtube video which worked great! My preschoolers loved the mouth open wide singing….as did our Circ staff who cracked up hearing them!

If You’re Happy and You Know It
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands
Stomp your feet…
Shout hooray…

We’re Stomping in the Rain
(sing to “Farmer in the Dell”)
We’re stomping in the rain
We’re stomping in the rain
We can’t go yet, We must get wet!
We’re stomping in the rain
*repeat with clapping, hopping, etc…

Rain, Rain, Go Away (Rain Stick)
Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day.
Everybody wants to play.
