2 Year Old Storytime: Bears

This bear storytime went well, mostly because of the massive quantity of bear puppets we own. We had a brown bear, polar bear, panda bear, and because why not, a koala bear. Lion Sleeps Tonight was a huge hit, with sleeping during the slower parts and jumping around during the wimoweh…..and no one questioned the difference between a lion and the bear too.

BOOK:          Bear Snores On, Karma Wilson

RHYME:                  Where is bear? Where is bear?
Here I am. Here I am.
How are you this winter?
Very tired, thank you.
Go to sleep. Go to sleep.

MUSIC:                    Lion Sleeps Tonight, Laurie Berkner (Sleeping and Jumping)

BOOK:          If You Were a Panda Bear, Wendell Minor

RHYME:      If you’re a panda bear and you know it, clap your paws
If you’re a polar bear and you know it, show your teeth
If you’re a grizzly bear and you know it, growl real loud

FELT BOARD:     Five in the Bed (colored teddy bears)

BUBBLE MUSIC:           Teddy Bear Picnic, Mother Goose Rocks Volume 5  (awesome!)
