Storytime Plan: Counting

ooh! Easy peasy toddler storytime alert…..Two books, two recorded songs and one sung activity song! I also do bubbles at the end of this storytime weekly just cause the little monsters need something to entice them to stay the whole time. I did the color clothes song after our scarf dancing…..it’s always a good one to prolong activity but not make them sit and listen…..That song is “Red, Red is the color I see, if you’re wearing red then show it to me. Stand up, turn around. Show us your red and then sit down.” The books were good mostly because of the beautiful colors, not because anyone wanted to get serious about counting.

BOOKS:
Bear Counts, Karma Wilson
1-2-3 Peas, Keith Baker

MUSIC:

One, Two, Three Whee!, Mr. Eric (with scarves)

Over in the Meadow, Raffi (with sticks)
